  3. 3-4 green chillies
  4. 1 inch ginger chopped
  5. 100 ml water

  8. 5-6 Whole Red chillies
  9. 2 Tbsp Chana Dal
  10. 1 Tbsp Urad Dal
  11. 3-4 garlic cloves chopped
  12. 1 inch ginger chopped
  13. 1 medium size onion chopped
  14. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  15. 1 Tbsp tamarind pulp
  16. to taste Salt
  17. as needed Water
  18. 1 Tbsp oil
  19. For Mashed Potato
  20. 5-6 medium size potatoes boiled and peeled
  21. 2 tsp Chana Dal
  22. 1 tsp Urad Dal
  23. 1 inch ginger chopped
  24. 1 medium size onion chopped
  25. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  26. 1 sprig curry leaves
  27. 1 Tbsp lime juice
  28. 1 sprig coriander leaves chopped
  29. Pinch asafoetida
  30. 1 Tbsp oil

  33. as needed Ghee
  34. 1 cup Dosa Batter
  35. 1/2 cup Red Chutney
  36. 1 cup Mashed potato

  38. 4 tsp Chopped coriander leaves

Steps to make to make Mysuru Masala Moong Dal Dosa

  1. Dosa Batter - soak Moong Dal for 2 hours in a bowl covered. Strain after washing 2 times and add to a blender. Add chopped ginger, green chillies, salt and water and blend smooth. Add to a bowl and Dosa batter is ready.
  2. For Red Chutney - in a pan heat oil, on low flame add Chana Dal, Urad Dal and stir for few seconds. Add garlic cloves, chopped ginger, chopped onion and stir for 2 mins until onion is translucent. Add turmeric powder, whole red chillies, salt and stir well. Set aside to cool in room temperature. Add to the blender and add tamarind pulp and little water to make a smooth Chutney paste. Set aside
  3. For Mashed Potato - in a pan heat oil and on low flame add Chana Dal, Urad Dal and fry for it to turn brown. Add chopped green chilies, curry leaves and chopped ginger, hing and stir for 2-3 mins. Add chopped onions, turmeric powder and stir until translucent. Add boiled and cut potatoes and mix well. Add salt. Mash the potatoes with the back of the spatula. Add lime juice and mix well. Set aside
  4. For making Dosa - in a Dosa pan heat and sprinkle little water. Once evaporated take a ladle of the batter and pour onto the Pan. With back of the ladle spread the batter, on low flame add 1 Tbsp ghee and smear too. Add red Chutney and smear all sides. Add chopped onions and coriander leaves a little. Place a part of the mashed potato in the centre and with a spatula check if sides come off easily. Fold half and set aside.
